here are some old photos from our family trip to the middle kingdom. we started off in shanghai, then flew to xi'an to see the terracotta soldiers. afterwards, we took a cruise down the as-yet unflooded yangtze river (the three gorges dam was not yet complete), stopping for daytrips at the lesser gorges and various cities, including chongqing and yunan. we ended our journey in beijing, after exploring the great wall and the forbidden city.
